We as Lego League and Future City Academic Team members visited University of Florida on Saturday, September 11, 2010. In this trip, students had the opportunity to see Department of Chemistry to learn about how DNA is synthesized and analyzed.
They also got an idea about nanotechnology and see how nanodevices are constructed with DNA. Graduate student Mr. Gulbakan gave a presentation about DNA. Then we visited several labs there. All of the participants agree that the visit is very beneficial. We learned a lot and had fun. We would like to thank all parents, students, and our host, Mr. Gulbakan. We will continue to have field trips, invite guest speakers, and have Saturday studies and much more.
