Congratulations to Sweetwater Future City Team,Our school's Future City Team received the Engineering Excellence award in the Future City Tampa Bay Regional Finals on Saturday, January 23rd, at Thurgood Marshall Middle School, St. Petersburg, FL.
Our students Nate Selznick, Joel Cray, Quennon Ewing represented our school in this competition. Also, Mr. DiPietro, Ms. Johnson, Mr. Cevik and Mr. Gurcan were there. We showed our physical model of our future city and made a presentation. In addition, the judges looked at our computer design, research essay, and narrative. This competition was a good experience for our students and we are very happy to bring this wonderful award to our school and Gainesville.
